Fans expected Luton to bounce back into the English Premier League from the Championship this season after their demotion last season. However, the Hatters have started poorly and are struggling at the wrong end of the division instead of vying for the champions league position.

This down turn of fortunes has made Edwards a vulnerable man, though there was no concrete evidence from the sun that Coventry is closely monitoring his performance. The Sky Blues have collectively found themselves in search of a new manager after they axed Mark Robins who only premiers had lessons on how to promote from the League Two to the Championship since forming the English Football League .

Though Edwards appears to be on Coventrys list of targets, they seem to be interested in signing him as a free agent to avoid any transfer fees. Notably, Frank Lampard is also one name being considered for the Coventry managerial job as he seeks to prove himself after being on a rough patch at Chelsea and Everton.
