The Premier league’s first match after the break is next saturday when the Blues travel to the King Power Stadium.

This trip will be the first time that Maresca who transferred to Leicester in the latest transfer window will be returning to face his former team mates at Chelsea.

Leicester replaced Maresca with Steve Cooper who upon arriving introduced Buonanotte to the team on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in June.

Buonanotte is an attacking mid-fielder and has been one of the best for Leicester this season. But he will not take part in the match against Chelsea since he has received 5 yellow cards in his 10 league matches in the 2024/25 season.

Under the laws of Premier League, if any player is given five yellow cards within the first 19 matches of the season, then he or she is banned for one match, which applies to Buonanotte after the match with Leicester against Manchester United 3-0.

Chelesa will lay a leg down easier as Buonanotte will be out of action as he has scored three goals and provided two assists for Leicester this season. The 19-year-old Argentinian player who scored against Chelsea when he was playing for Brighton has wowed the Leicester fans with his good run, speed, dribbling and ball control.

Leicester at the moment occupies 15th position in the English Premier League with only ten points, so hosts need an unexpected victory. Since the two victories against Bournemouth and Southampton in October, the team is heading very low in the table and is eager to get better rankings.
