IBROX INCOMING! RANGERS DEAL LABELLED AS “TRANSFER OF THE CENTURY” AS CLUB PREPARES TO SEAL MIDFIELDER SIGNING – A BOMBSHELL ANNOUNCEMENT THAT WILL SEND SHOCKWAVES THROUGH THE FOOTBALL WORLD!

Rangers’ chances of signing a midfielder this month appear to be heavily dependent on the contract situations of their target players. With Marko Soldo and Darius Olaru being too expensive, the club has turned its attention to two alternative targets whose contracts are set to expire in the summer. One of these players is Lyall Cameron, a rising star of Scottish football who has impressed with Dundee, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists this season. Rangers are leading the race to sign Cameron on a pre-contract arrangement, which would allow them to sign him for free in the summer, with any fee to be decided by a tribunal later on.

The other target is Sasa Zdjelar, a 29-year-old Serbian midfielder who plays for CSKA Moscow. While Zdjelar may be considered a higher-risk signing due to his lack of experience in the British game, he has a wealth of experience playing in top-level leagues in Russia, Greece, and Serbia, and has won numerous trophies throughout his career. CSKA Moscow is reportedly open to selling Zdjelar before the deadline in early February, and former coaches and players of the club have urged them to let him go to Rangers.

Former CSKA coach Aleksandr Tarkhanov has stated that the club should sell Zdjelar to Rangers, citing the financial benefits of doing so. Another former player, Alexandr Grishin, has also expressed his support for the transfer, stating that the club cannot afford to overlook the financial side of things and that the transfer must be carried out if both parties are comfortable with it.

It is understood that CSKA Moscow can replace Zdjelar if he were to leave the club, with players like Matvey Kislyak being touted as a potential replacement. Former CSKA player Dmitry Karsakov has stated that the club needs to sell Zdjelar to Rangers in order to strengthen their team and that his departure would not be a huge loss.

Rangers’ interest in Zdjelar is a reminder of the club’s financial constraints, which have forced them to look for bargain signings rather than splashing out on more expensive players. The club’s only signing so far this window has been a loan deal for Rafael Fernandes, and it remains to be seen how much they would be willing to pay for Zdjelar. However, with CSKA Moscow reportedly open to selling, it seems likely that a deal could be reached before the deadline.
