Rangers’ chances of signing a midfielder this month appear to be heavily dependent on the contract situations of their target players. CSKA Moscow is reportedly open to selling Zdjelar before the deadline in early February, and former coaches and players of the club have urged them to let him go to Rangers.

Former CSKA coach Aleksandr Tarkhanov has stated that the club should sell Zdjelar to Rangers, citing the financial benefits of doing so. Another former player, Alexandr Grishin, has also expressed his support for the transfer, stating that the club cannot afford to overlook the financial side of things and that the transfer must be carried out if both parties are comfortable with it.

It is understood that CSKA Moscow can replace Zdjelar if he were to leave the club, with players like Matvey Kislyak being touted as a potential replacement. Former CSKA player Dmitry Karsakov has stated that the club needs to sell Zdjelar to Rangers in order to strengthen their team and that his departure would not be a huge loss.
