Brisbane Broncos land brother of Warriors playmaker

The younger sibling of Chanel Harris-Tavita has reportedly joined an NRL team’s academy that is not the New Zealand Warriors.

Already being compared to NRL Hall of Famer Benji Marshall for his exceptional footwork and impressive offensive skills, Calvin Harris-Tavita stands out among the numerous gifted young athletes emerging from New Zealand.

At just 17 years old, this teenager continues to excel in both rugby league and rugby union and was recently recognized in the U17s ANZRL team of the Tournament.

As an emerging halfback, The Daily Telegraph has indicated that he has signed with the Brisbane Broncos, integrating him into their Academy framework.

Even though he has recently become part of the Broncos Academy, he continues his education at New Zealand’s esteemed Kings’ College and has just been elevated to their first XV in the 15-man format.

“He is the next Benji Marshall to be honest,” stated John Devonshire, chairman of New Zealand Maori rugby league, in 2022 when Calvin was merely 13 years old. “He is that exceptional. I haven’t encountered anyone as thrilling as he is in many, many years. “

“Especially as a seven (a halfback). ”
