Brisbane Broncos Captain Adam Reynolds Announces Retirement Following Wife and Children’s Plea

Reynolds and Tallara have four children — Nakylah, Aaliyah, Kobe, and Zariyaa — ranging in age from 7 to 15. The family relocated from Sydney to Brisbane in 2022, and though the move brought success for Reynolds on the field, it also came with sacrifices off it.

“There were birthdays missed, family holidays delayed, and nights when I came home and they were already asleep,” Reynolds added. “My oldest daughter said, ‘We don’t want to watch you limp around anymore.’ That hit me hard.”

Legacy in the Game

Adam Reynolds retires as one of the most accurate kickers in NRL history, amassing over 2,200 points across his career and captaining both the Rabbitohs and the Broncos with distinction. He led South Sydney to a grand final in 2021 before becoming a key figure in Brisbane’s rebuild, guiding them to a grand final appearance in 2023.

Broncos head coach Kevin Walters praised Reynolds not only for his football IQ but also for his cultural impact.
