Gehamat has a strong affection for the Broncos after the season he has enjoyed and remains contracted with them for the upcoming season,” his agent Wade Rushton shared with Wide World of Sports.

At 27 years old, he has netted 18 tries across 46 NRL matches, with 12 tries in 16 games since returning to the NRL in 2025, which also marked his debut for the Maroons.
Reportedly, his current earnings are only $85,000 under a development contract, which will increase to a modest $140,000 next season when he transitions to a top-30 contract.
Shibasaki expressed to AAP his desire to maintain a grounded perspective. “As far as November 1 goes, I will consider that then, but for now, my focus is on the present. This has played a significant role in my success to this point,” Shibasaki stated.
“Additionally, that’s a matter I need to discuss with my family.
“Given my current age, I recognize I’m approaching the latter stages of my career. I’ll turn my attention to that when the appropriate time arises. ”
