AdminBroncos head coach Michael Maguire emphasized that supporters are “always welcome” following claims that fans were excluded from a recent open training session held at Suncorp Stadium.

The training session was promoted on the club’s website, with a disclaimer that it was “strictly viewing-only,” and that “no autographs or meet-and-greets” would be permitted.
“Once training concludes, the team will exit the field for a recovery session,” the announcement noted.
However, this did not occur as planned; the players still engaged with fans by posing for pictures and signing autographs. Nevertheless, Maguire faced inquiries about this decision at his press briefing prior to Friday’s match against the Eels.
“As you can observe, there are plenty of fans obtaining signatures. They are quite open to it,” Maguire stated.
“We have to recognize that they need to prepare themselves for a football match. That is an essential part of it.
“They wish to provide as much as possible to their supporters, yet they must also be prepared. We have a significant game tomorrow. They need to focus. It’s a balancing act, but if the players can deliver their best performance for the fans, there’s no reason they can’t engage with them. ”
Maguire mentioned that while he recognized how some might view the club as unapproachable, the truth is markedly different.
“One thing I am certain of regarding this club is that it revolves around the people,” he remarked.
“We frequently discuss it among ourselves. The fans and the fact that we draw crowds of over 40,000, all striving for sell-out attendance. The players are aware of it.
“We aim to connect with the people in the journey. That’s part of our mission. The team has discovered their playing style, and we want to rally the supporters behind it.
“I believe that despite appearances, if you walk the streets, it’s truly about the people. ”
There is indeed a palpable excitement in the streets of Brisbane at present, as the Broncos enjoy a five-game winning streak and aim to break into the top four.
“I’m anticipating a very strong showing. We have everything to gain,” Maguire expressed.
“There lies an opportunity waiting to be seized. It’s less about our opponent and more about our own actions, which is critically important.
“The team has garnered quite a bit from the last five weeks based on our performance. ”
