The Parramatta Eels are looking to move forward in Jason Ryles’ rebuilding plan when they play against the North Queensland Cowboys in a big match this Sunday afternoon.
The Eels have been doing really well these past few months as they prepare for the future. They lost a close game to Melbourne last weekend and are aiming to earn two points by beating the Cowboys. Mitchell Moses has been doing a great job since coming back from his injury, and he’s ready to impress the home crowd at CommBank Stadium.
This game on Sunday is another away match for North Queensland, following their loss to the Sharks last week.
While they have been able to score a lot of points this year, their defense has struggled more, and they will need to improve that part of their game if they want to win this weekend.

Eels: Parramatta will face a setback before Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, as Sean Russell (hand) and Sam Tuivaiti (knee) will not play. Jordan Samrani will take a spot in the centers, and Kelma Tuilagi has been added to the bench after returning from suspension in NSW Cup last week. There are no changes from the update given on Saturday.
Cowboys: The Cowboys had to make several changes on Saturday as Viliami Vailea (foot), Harrison Edwards, and Tom Mikaele (knee) will not play. Winger Semi Valemei is back for his first game in the top league since Round 10 last year. Kaiden Lahrs has been added to the bench along with Nic Lenaz, who is making his NRL debut. Prop Jason Taumalolo (calf) and halfback Jake Clifford (quad) are returning to play.
