The Wolverhampton players and Gary O’Neil in particular hope to make the best of the first win in Premier League and move away from the bottom of the table. A three-point away victory was obtained only in match day 11 and such ease augured well but did not erase all doubts.

Some pundits have accused O’Neil of his inability to know the best possible starting formation thereby adopting many overhauls which has an impact on the likes of Pablo Sarabia. Although O’Neil has been criticized for some of his choices in team formation, the Englishman has recently come to the defence of his favoured tactic of getting Sarabia in the starting line up, stating that the Spanish player has certain attributes that makes him useful in certain games that need to be properly utilised.

Nevertheless, Sarabia’s future at Wolves is bleak as his contract gets close to its expiry, signs pointing towards him leaving Molineux soon. However, after a terrible 2023/24 season end, the chances of Sarabia staying put at the club for more than one season have been cut short, opening doors to other suitors.
