Positioned four points shy of the Warriors, who are in fourth place, the Broncos are eager to maintain their successful streak in an effort to achieve a top-four finish by the end of the regular season. This week, they will play the Parramatta Eels at home on Friday night, followed by another match at Suncorp Stadium against the struggling Rabbitohs.
During an appearance on SEN radio this week, Maguire explained that he encouraged his players and staff to spend time with their families during the bye week. Unlike some coaches who opt to keep training sessions going to maintain momentum, Maguire recognized the importance of providing his team with the necessary time off and allowed them a full five-day respite to connect with their loved ones.
When asked about the Broncos’ activities during the break, Maguire stated: “With family, really. I’m typically very focused with the players, but when I have the chance, I genuinely enjoy spending time with my family and being at home. Dropping the kids off at school and attending their sporting events, and similar activities, made for a very pleasant break. “
The Broncos’ coach acknowledged that it is common for teams to return from a bye feeling a bit sluggish, yet he is confident his team will not succumb to this issue. “You establish a bit of a routine when you’re going week to week, and we’ve had the benefit of that over the last month,” he remarked.
“However, it’s essential we harness what we’ve gained from that [break] and keep it going. I’m aware that a significant break can disrupt your rhythm, so we need to immediately jump back into our routine this Friday. We must remain vigilant since Parramatta can start off strong. “

With Reece Walsh, Ezra Mam, Adam Reynolds, and Ben Hunt all healthy and performing well, Maguire is at last able to deploy his primary spine effectively. Walsh and Hunt experienced various injuries, while Mam faced suspension for the initial nine matches of the season.
